Hello my name is Jean Doerflein, American Poultry Association Master Exhibitor #749, and I'm selling pure bred show/breeder quality Gray Call duck hatching eggs. I've been raising Calls for almost a decade. I have slowed down on showing my Calls because I've focused more on showing my Rouens and Guineas. I showed my Calls a lot when I was still a junior (under 18) and won many awards on them as a junior. I occasionally show them still. I show in Indiana and Ohio at these shows:  White River Poultry Club, Central Indiana Poultry Club, Hoosier Poultry Breeders Assoc., Indiana Poultry Breeders Assoc.,Southern Ohio Poultry Breeders Assoc. spring and fall, and the Ohio National. My gray Call line is from Dennis Fuller (Wapsi Waterfowl), Patty Pickard, and Earl Miller.  Please check out my website www.duckcreekpoultryplace.weebly.com for more information and pictures of my Calls.  Or my farm's facebook page http://www.facebook.com/duck.creek.poultry.place

This ad is for 12 hatching eggs and shipping for a total of $45.

The eggs will include eggs from ONLY my GRAY Calls.  Hatching pure bred Calls is not for beginners because they can need help hatching. If you've never hatched Calls I do not recommend buying hatching eggs. If you would like advice on how to help hatch waterfowl please let me know and I can provide you with that info free of charge!

I fill orders on a first come first served basis so contact me for weeks for availability.  Eggs will be shipped during the week from Monday-Thursday.  If an order cannot be filled by Thursday morning then it will ship the following Monday with the freshest eggs available.

I DO NOT wash the eggs unless specifically requested to do so. If you want your eggs sanitized/washed please let me know and I can accommodate you, otherwise they will not be washed. I use a solution of Oxine with warm water to clean the eggs when asked to clean them. Please keep in mind that my duck's pens are built into our creek and  dirt is unavoidable.

I use both pencil and Sharpie markers to date and label my hatching eggs. Some people have been led to believe that markers will some how harm the egg/embryo. This is simply not ture. I have used both markers and pencil for over ten years and there is no difference between from my first hand experience. Because some people still believe this myth about markers I want my customers to know I use markers.

I do not ship outside the Continental US. Be sure you can receive hatching eggs at your location before you buy the eggs. I will not be responsible for egg shipments returned due to your state and local laws. Check with your local post office for specific regulations.

No refunds! If there are damages from the post office please let me know so we can work something out.  I send extra eggs whenever possible in order to offset any damage the post office may cause.  Buyer beware hatching eggs can be a risky investment. Please do not contact me A YEAR after your "poor" hatch and expect free eggs! (Yes this has happened to me before) I cannot be held responsible for your hatching techniques or incubation which led to your hatch!  The post office can and does mishandle hatching eggs. Please notify me and send pictures of any extreme damage. I do not make money selling hatching eggs it simply helps out with the feed bills and costs of attending shows! I appreciate your understanding and business!!!!!!!

*** I try very hard to package the eggs so they arrive in excellent condition but I have no control over the postal service. Due to shipping and differences in incubators I can not guarantee your hatch rate. Shipping stress can also cause early embryo deaths when the eggs are handled improperly (shaken/dropped/kept too cold or hot). Whenever possible I will include "extra" eggs to offset the stress of shipping and incubation problems. Mailing hatching eggs is a risky thing for both buyer and seller please understand this. If you have any problems with fertility or hatch rate please contact me so we can figure out the problem and a solution.  The "normal" hatch rate for shipped eggs is between 40 and 80%.
My Call eggs are individually wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged with packing peanuts. I've posted pictures of my shipping methods on my farm's facebook page.  http://www.facebook.com/duck.creek.poultry.place
